"Reflections In My Tears" is an emotional collection of poetry and prose by Candice M. Martin, author of Petals of Life: A Survivor’s Writings. Mrs. Martin, a survivor of childhood abuse, rape and domestic violence, writes with such heart and soul that many say that she writes for them. In "Reflections in My Tears", Candice M. Martin continues healing through words and becoming stronger each day. In her battle with PTSD, depression and epilepsy, she has found that writing has given her not only inner healing, but the voice she had long ago silenced.
Reviews:
It's not often that I take the time to read poetry, but after reading Reflections In My Tears by Candice M. Martin, I realized she had a story to tell and the need to share it with the world. I couldn't put the book down and read it from cover to cover in one day. My eyes were full of tears and my heart broke throughout the whole story. It makes you look at the reality of the silent everyday abuse against innocent and defenseless children behind closed doors. I recommend this book. Alberta H. Sequeira , Author: A Healing Heart
Upon reading Reflections in My Tears by Candice M Martin, this reader grasped an immediate distinct conception of the author’s work through her true poetical effects. The entire compilation unfolded the writer’s ingenuity by influence of poetic power. The merit in composition, elevated by the union of sentiment and complexities, lay page by page in vigorous expression. In the end, Mrs. Martin accomplished what any poetical theme suggests- human aspirations, excitement of the soul. I highly recommend Mrs. Martin’s book, Reflections in My Tears. The book “Reflections In My Tears” by author Candice M. Martin is a very deep book of intense emotions and tells of the abusive past the author has overcome. The poem “Flash Back” caught my heart and I was moved by the piece. “Tick Tock” is another poem that I greatly enjoyed. I can say that this book is one of the best I’ve read in a number of years, and for Mrs. Martin to willingly express her thoughts and pain to others is a very special gift of sharing and courage. I will be keeping this book somewhere safe as it is truly a wonderful book and one all should read. Paul Billett: Author, “Shoot the Stars”

Just As Moving & Spectacular As the First...
I waited for this book to come out for what seems like ever. After reading Mrs. Martin's first book, I just knew I had to have her next one. And this book didn't disappoint me either. It is just as spectacular and emotionally charged as her first book. This author has a way of giving her readers not only insight into the world she has overcome, but hope that those of us who have been there or are there can also overcome it. I thank her for giving voice to such 'hush hush' topics of child abuse, domestic violence, & rape. I commend her for her strength, and hope Mrs. Martin knows the power that her words have on so many. She is an amazing and prolific writer!!
